consumerism... and the things you really need

consumerism...
people's needs to buy overly unnecessary things that brings short term pleasure or happiness... it is more a need than a what... because seriously, i think we have gone that far... now a days people have a need.. like a mental psychological need to go out and spend money on really unnecessary things.. but its our depending on it that makes it more and more necessary, or we believe soo... and i am not just pointing at like other fat lazy spoiled stereotypical buy everything americans.. cause im talking about myself here too.. and i could probably be counted as one of then any ways..
EXAMPLE:my cell phone just died.. like seriously its dead.. gone.. drown...sadly... and now..i NEED a new one.. and you know people will say that i dont need it.. but really I NEED A NEW ONE.... its a need now.. a dependency.. we are soo dependent on technology and cell phone that there is now a need to have one with you... its no longer a want... people are just not able to function without it now a days... technology created things to make simple task easier.. but what happens if we forget how to do the simple task without the product...
EXAMPLE:
little sisters ME
"ooo i can not do math homework with out a calculator... and if i dont have a calculator it is now impossible to do it in my head.."
...
or "i dont know what the definition to that word is! and i dont have a computer with internet!! i cant do anything now"
use a fucken dictionary...
people make me sad... and technology makes use dumber...
