my personal feed...

like always.. i lost the rubric paper thingy
my attempted anyways to make a reflections...

let me first start out by saying
i decided to make a collage poster about what i expect will be in my feed..
it is lacking somethings but over all, i think i covered the majority of it.
my poster.. what appeals to me, all the things i like.. some attributes of myself, my identity; i mostly focused on things like this.. for example the bold key words that i focused on, DREAMING, I BELIEVE, LOVE some of the things that will appeal to me if it is marketed to me..

explaining carnival.. i like thing like that.. i like the girls outfit first of all
but i also like the marigold round/ carnival its self
it symbolizes fun and childish
also ties in with the dreaming.. liking fantasy things like faeries or angels or wings

the night and NO SLEEPING sign
that appeals to me because of maybe restless nights, with other people, friends family, loved ones
adventure and night lifes...
my feed would market me to somethings like late night shows or hangout places... things to do and why not to sleep...

the picture of the girl wearing a yellow dress holding the blue bag...
that is a name brand bag but i am not sure it i am really into the name brand stuff.. but i do like the bag and the outfit... it like the brightness and the color..

colors i love colors and of course my feed well send me stuff of all colors..

i love chocolate...
chocolate covered strawberries.. and cute british guys

consumeristic me...
the things that i would by that i would consume are things like food, sweets a big one... cloths.. bags.. dresses... sales and specials of course shoes.. some of the normal typical things..

one things that im not as fond of is... make up

i just dont do makeup..

american culture and identity..

i dont completely know that american culture and identity is but i know that consumerism is something that everyone in america has in common..
its just natural for us to consume.. to buy things.. because you need things to survive money is a need..

i think that feed by mt anderson understands this.. that consumerism exist in this world but it is when we abuse it that it will destroy everything..
consumerism is destroying the world.. the rate that we use up the natural resouces in the earth.. it will destroy the world as well as the minds of the next generations.. to rely on technology for everything will destroy earth and make everyone lose there own identity and their independence..

the funny thing about conformity...
i would argue that conformity is all out of free will.
you get the chance to do something and be something different
and they become what others are...



people do have the chance to do something different... they do not have to follow the crowd but when it finally comes... people just choose to...

the way i see it people who do not follow the crowd are just alone.


individuality

maybe individuality is lonely...
sure i think individuality is a good thing but you got to got to admit it is lonely

being different and unique can also mean misunderstood

i do not think that conformity is a bad thing unless the person changes so much that they do not recognize themselves... its okay to find your group... a place where you belong.. but you shouldnt be there if it isnt you in the first place...

first of all i would like to say that who ever wants to rely on a machine for their main source of life... rely that their heart to beat and memories to stay on a machine.. they are insane... cause you would unfortunate if you have to, to live, but if you just want to just for the heck of it, if you chose to you are completely insane. cause really all it takes is for someone to pull the plug...

as efficient as technology is, it is still made so that most of the things we buy would have to be replaced in 6 months. because thats consumerism
it keeps the cycle going

utopia
and the
normal

normal for titus would be things like parties, and people in mal and acting dumb, school TM,mindless thinking and the feed- no resistance..
i think in this part of the book "normal" starts to change a little bit for titus. he starts resisting the feed alittle and he starts looking in at the party and thinking it does look weird. he starts learning more about the unfortunate thing in the world althougt he doesnt like it that much.

but he is not successful resisting the feed

example- buying and chosing an up car.
he chose the one that the feed was sending him...

TITUS' STUPIDITY
titus first agrees that he is stupid
but then

"buy tomorrow i would be driving to pick up violet in my own godamn upcar, and suddenly, suddenly, i didnt feel so stupid anymore." -titus..

i think he is still stupid.. surprising how someone can feel less stupid by buying a car.




i think violet is the only one who sees things like it should be "depressing" but extremely truthful

"look at us! you dont have the feed! you are feed! you're feed! you're being eaten! you're raised for food! look at what you've made yourselves!" pointing at quendy "she's a monster! a monster! covered with cuts! she's a creature!"



i looked up pictures of lesions, they are not pretty at all. there is nothing sexy about them... they are horrible.. and in there utopia it okay the be covered with them and whats worst, its okay to do that to yourself. thats kinda depressing
violet sees that time for what is really is "we are in a time a calamity" disaster lose suffering. a time where people loses common sense, where they are destorying the world. cutting tress to make air factories.
and violet seems to be the only one who cares

their normal. titus's link's quendy's marty's calista's and maybe loga's normal is were people feel less dumb if they buy things, partying, going in mal, making out, looking like the latest trends and the people in "oh! wow! thing!" their utopia is filled with temporary pleasure and happiness that slowly is destroying the world.
yep yep their utopia's really really messed up
